Benefits of Almond Oil

Almond oil is rich in vitamins A, E and D, and also contains linoleic and oleic acids. It is widely used as a skin care product but can be used in the treatment of some skin disorders as well. Many people have found it useful in the treatment of scalp disorders and to promote hair growth. This is why some soap and shampoo manufacturers include almond oil as an ingredient in their products. Shampoo products with almond oil do not only thoroughly clean your hair and scalp, but also treat your hair with the vitamins it needs to remain shiny and healthy.
Almond oil is also well known for its anti aging properties. It is commonly used to soothe out or prevent facial wrinkles. Black rings around the eyes are common with people who are stressed out or have been in front of a computer monitor for many hours. It can be used to remove these rings and make you looking fresh and ready for another day. If you want to stay youthful by having smooth radiant skin, even if you need to work hard and face stress day after day, then using almond oil will help you maintain a youthful complexion.
Many women, who use almond oil on a daily basis, apply the oil on their face after thorough cleansing and before putting on makeup. For those who are not fond of makeup, the thin layer of it not only rejuvenates their skin but also protects it from the harsh environment. Remember that a few drops of almond oil on your face are enough. Applying more than enough can make you feel like you have oily skin. Always wait for your skin to dry before applying makeup.
If you have rough, flaky, or uneven skin tone, applying almond oil on a daily basis will result in a much softer and smoother skin. Studies have shown that around 80% of people with dry skin will notice improvements after just a couple of weeks of applying it.
Health Benefits of Almond Oil for Skin
Almond oil has many health benefits and can be used on a daily basis. However, one of the downsides is that people allergic to nuts cannot use the product. If you do not know if you are allergic to nuts then you need to try the product on a small portion of your skin and see if you will develop any allergic reactions within 24 hours. If you do not develop an allergic reaction then it is safe for you to use. If you do, then there are other good products on the market that do not contain almond oil.
Bad skin is also caused by lack of exercise and poor eating habits. Bad habits such as smoking and excessive alcohol intake also contribute to early aging and bad skin. If you are aiming for a much youthful look, then quit smoking and reduce alcohol consumption. Increase the intake of healthy food and make sure that you get enough exercise every day. Even moderate exercise and especially Yoga will add a glow to your skin. If you do all these together with the use of almond oil, you can do wonders for your skin.
Almond oil is definitely one of the best skin care products today. A lot of people have already realized the benefits of this amazing product. It is unfortunate that some people with allergies will not be able to use it, but then there are other products on the market that they can use to solve their skincare dilemma as well. If you do not have any allergies to nuts, you are encouraged to see the benefits of using almond oil on your skin.

Organizing and clearing 'things' out

"If you look at your entire house as one unit of junk,
you'll never do anything because the job is too overwhelming.
Take it one drawer at a time." ~Janet Luhrs
Too often we don’t do the work we want because we feel overwhelmed. What you may not realize is that clutter or “too much stuffitis” could be holding you back in more ways than one. In the practice of Feng Shui it is believed that ‘junk” in the home blocks the flow of positive Chi, and if we aren’t flowing we aren’t growing. Personally I believe that we start with the simple or “low hanging fruit” to give us a sense of accomplishment and success. The truth is success leads to success. So if you are having a hard time with a big project start small: That desk drawer that you could organize in a few moments, a shelf that could be de-cluttered. It doesn’t have to be the whole garage. Often what I discover is it feels so good to clear out a small thing that it creates momentum. The best part? Watch what happens to the flow of things in your life as you create physical space in your surroundings. You may find that suddenly meditation becomes easier, or you feel a bit more rested and energized, or you are just a little less grumpy! So what are you waiting for…dump out the junk drawer and if it isn’t useful or beautiful let it go!

Cleanse your liver! DETOXIFY and be strong

"By cleansing your body on a regular basis and eliminating as many toxins as possible from your environment, your body can begin to heal itself, prevent disease, and become stronger and more resilient than you ever dreamed possible!” ~Dr. Edward Group III
When we look at cleansing and clearing out the cobwebs there are few better places to start than cleaning the liver. The liver helps us metabolize toxins and fats. When the liver is clogged or bogged down everything gets back up. Truthfully it’s all connected, if you are having a hard time sleeping, focusing, losing weight, keeping inflammation down, etc you may want to start with some gentle support for your liver. Now this doesn’t have to be big cleanse or fast or anything drastic. (Of course eating healthy and drinking plenty of water will encourage the process) Milk thistle is a powerful herb that can help clean out the liver and I always take it before bed so that my liver has time to heal and rest and clear. In the morning I use my favorite concoction that supports clearing and cleansing and has anti-inflammatory properties.Lemon Juice, Olive Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Cayenne and Honey. 6-8oz of warm water and two tablespoons of each ingredient; Mix thoroughly and drink before any other food or liquid (it’s best to wait 20 minutes at least before eating)
This will support the liver in a variety of ways and get the system up and running for the day.
Detoxify your system and personal environment by using pure oils on your skin in place of lotion. Detoxify and deep cleanse facial skin with these luxurious Clay Facial Masks. You'll notice amazing differences by incorporating these easy suggestions into your daily routine.
